Joining the Businesses Growing Together WebRing is by invitation only and only for BGT members.
Web sites that belong to the BGT WebRing will display a navigation bar (NavBar) that allows site visitors to easily click from site to site. The NavBar accumulates hits from all of the sites, so that a hit to one site, is a hit to all sites. Additionally, the NavBar acts as a link so your web site is linked to every other site in the community. Your site benefits from higher search engine results because it has more hits and more links.
You must have a web site, blog, or an auction home page, that allows HTML or JavaScript, to join a WebRing. eCrater store owners cannot place the NavBar in their stores because eCrater stores do not allow for HTML. You must also be willing to place the NavBar on your site. Here's basically how it will look after you place the navigation code correctly on your web site. It looks nicer once its actually on your site.
Without a NavBar on your site, your application to join cannot be accepted.
NavBar Placement
The NavBar will enable your web site to be included in WebRing searches. Follow these simple steps to optimize the NavBar's impact on your web site traffic.
· Place the NavBar in a prominent place on your most important page (it's the page that visitors will see when they get to your site - so think about where you want them to arrive).
· Keep in mind that visitors have little patience to "hunt" for information they are looking for, therefore WebRing recommends that you do not place your code on links pages or entry pages.
· Visitors will simply go somewhere else resulting in a missed opportunity for you.
· Prominent places for the NavBar include the top of the page, bottom of the page, or in side links. We recommend everyone place the navbar at the bottom of the page so the potential buyer knows exactly where to look for it while browsing.
· If you have multiple pages that cover different topics and you want to optimize your traffic and search results for each page, WebRing recommends that you register each URL and place unique navigation code on each page and connect those pages to content related communities.

A donation of just $1.00 a year is requested to offset the cost of the BGT WebRing but is not mandatory.Making a donation using the buttons below will result in an invitation being emailed to your within 48 hours.
